From Studio to Screen: A Voice Coach’s Unexpected Beginning

Chrissellene: Well, I’m Chrissellene Petropoulos and I teach voice and confidence. I never posted. I had my own company. I was teaching one-on-one and my students said, “Chrissellene, you’ve got to get this information out to the world.” And so I was laughing at them going, “I know nothing about anything about there.”

And who pops up? Max. Who’s this Max guy? So I’m in, and I started reading ferociously all his stuff. Then I had to go back and break it down because it can be overwhelming, but it’s a lot of good information. And then I got you and I said, “Please hold my hand one-on-one.” And I love being here and I’ve learned a lot, and I got a lot of people out there getting interested.

There was no hesitation because I now have a new website and online course, and I did not know how to get to the world. So that’s when I found Max, and I said I think Max and all the skills he’s teaching is going to help me help a lot of people. So that’s my goal.

Lights, Camera, 30 Seconds: Mastering Short-Form Content

Chrissellene: Posting habits. I love it. I write content. I have either Max or Vince or somebody out there in the AI world taking my 45-minute talk and making it 30 seconds long. It’s wonderful. Of course, me in front of a camera, I’m at home. This is not a problem. But knowing how to do it in 30 seconds is a challenge.

And so I’ve gone out there, and as I told you, there’s 29,000 views going on on YouTube. I can’t believe it. So it’s working. I want to get the trust, the love, the confidence from people so they can go and learn what I teach.

The Results Are In: Clients, Closes, and $2,500 Earned

Chrissellene: Well, I’ve met five clients, and by the end of this week, I will have closed four of them. I’ve already closed two. I’m going to guess $2,500.

Zero. Zero. I was never out there. I only had my studio, you know, one-on-one studio. I never went out to the world. This is the first time.

I think it’s going to make a major impact because my dream was to reach as many people as I can to help them build their voice or build their confidence. And what I teach is a spectrum because it can go to speakers, presenters, teachers. This goes to anybody who wants to have a strong voice and not be afraid to get on stage. So I want to be able to reach all these people who need the help.

Tech Struggles and Triumphs: Getting Help Every Step of the Way

Chrissellene: I am not good at tech and always need help. I need you, Gustavo, to go, “Okay, what did I do wrong? Okay, what does this mean?” And of course, you’re always there somewhere going, “Try this, do this. Here’s your step-by-step.” Like the automation, people were saying, “Voice isn’t working.” So I went out and I did it, and then they go, “It’s working. Tada.” So that’s my weakest point, all this tech and computer stuff. I’m too old for this stuff.

The Bigger Mission: Helping People, Not Chasing Followers

Chrissellene: The power of social media is bringing the world to you, who wants to help. And so my message, wanting to help people and reaching people, really makes me happy. That’s the goal.

Well, if people just want egotistically followers, knock yourselves out. That’s not the goal. Each and every person out here should have a goal to see who they can help, what they can help people with. What is it that you have that is unique?

Now, I know I have the science-based evidence for building a voice. It is failproof. And I know how to build confidence because I’ve created strategies over 38 years. So I have a very powerful drive and goal to get out there to help people. If you don’t have a powerful goal or drive, you’re going to get discouraged.
