Meet Kara: A 34-Year Educator on a Mission to Regulate the World
Kara: I am an educator for 34 years, and my motivation is simply because when I went through the death of my child, I realized that regulation is such an important part, and that children and students, they feed off of adults’ energy. So if an adult walks into a room and they’re stressed, then a student or a child feeds off of that. So it’s basically working with teachers on how to regulate themselves so that they can keep their classes and their students regulated. I have a master’s in social emotional learning, mindfulness, and yoga.
Starting From Scratch: Burnt Once, But Ready to Try Again
Kara: Zero. Ground zero. I actually had another program before this and was not successful. They really weren’t very helpful. What they said they would do, they really didn’t do. So I was really starting at ground zero when I joined Max’s group.
I believe it was from Facebook that I found you, and I’d already been burnt once. So yes, I did have some hesitation, but when I went through, I don’t know whether it was the interview or the discussion with the first person, they really did seem to care. And so I thought, you know what? And there was a guarantee. So that was like, okay, if you’re going to guarantee that this is either going to work or it’s not, then it was worth a shot.
Everybody was really helpful. I mean, they answered all the questions. You always answer my questions. And I don’t always put things in a formative language for what we do, but you all always seem to understand and come through for me in whatever questions I have.
A Complete 180: From Zero Confidence to Posting Every Day
Kara: Well, everything is like a 180. Before, I had no idea what I was doing, and my confidence was zero. Could I really do this? And now it’s like, I’m posting every day, and if I have questions, I come to you, and I get a lot of feedback from the comments on my posts, and I’m not nervous about answering them. I just answer what I can. So I really feel like it’s a 180 from before. I’m much more confident and not afraid to try things and throw things out there. I’ll even throw things out there without going through you guys. And sometimes they flop, and sometimes they don’t. But you know what? You live and you learn.
Well, it’s consistency and then putting out reels that touch people, that have whatever the pinpoint I’m trying to make in my reel, so that it strikes a chord. They see the hook and then they watch the video and comment. Most of them get a lot of comments.
Building Products From Real Feedback and Dreaming of Million-Dollar Sales
Kara: Well, I am just putting products out there. I’m designing more products, and based on the feedback that I’m getting from teachers, like what they put in my comments, I’m kind of seeing what they need and what they want. And so I’m building things from there. And hopefully, I will be like Max, and have a million-dollar sales.
The strategy that Max uses, I don’t remember the name of it, but he tells you to watch your hook, and how long your videos are, and what to put in your videos. And all of those skills that I’ve learned and am putting together have really created a different mindset for me, that I can put out something that’s good.
Who This Is For: Drive, Patience, and Playing the Long Game
Kara: Anyone that has a message. If you have a message to put out there and you want to share it, then the program is for them. Not someone who gives up easily, because I started this well before Christmas and I really didn’t hit until March. So you’ve got to want to work towards what your dream is. You can’t just put a few reels out there and then expect them to hit right away. They may, but chances are they’re not going to. So someone that has a drive and a desire to work through the process and get the desired ending.
Well, I just want everyone to know that there are always videos and we have these live calls that I’m just now getting to do because I’m off for summer. Those are always available to watch, and there’s just so much information that it’s really hard to take in all of it. Learning everything takes time, but patience, on your end and on my end, has come to a good thing. So my goals are to really make that million. Ha!
She’d Already Been Let Down Once – This Time Was Different
