Max: All right welcome back to the channel Max Tornow here. I’m sitting here with the Gomes brothers. You just gave me permission to call you the Gomes brothers and you cracked 10k last month 10,000 euros, right? How much did you make exactly?
João: 16.2 yeah.
Max: 16.2 thousand euros or dollars?
João: Euros.
Max: Last month, that’s fantastic. Obviously congrats to that. As our clients you’re absolutely crushing it and we thought we’d get together with them, kinda share a little bit of their experience and of their story. Make sure you speak loud enough into the microphone please.
Max: So these are very very calm Portuguese brothers and I like that because many people think like, oh, in order to get over 16,000 in one month maybe I have to be these outgoing, salesy people but you guys are super calm, you are super chill and you still like securing and obviously thusly you’re still getting the results so congrats again.
Max: And what exactly is it that you guys are coaching your clients?
Tiago: Okay, we mostly focus on women and we help women reducing the symptoms of digestive issues.
Max: Wow, okay so it’s more like health niche, focusing mostly on women and then they get, So when they come to you, the quality of life isn’t really super good because they have digestive issues and thusly probably also health issues that kinda go along with that. We kinda talked off camera a little bit as well. Both of you are very healthy people. You’re doing the fasting thing and I offered them sushi, they didn’t wanna have any. So that’s cool. And so you’re teaching your clients how to live a healthier life in terms of starting with the digestive system and then obviously they get better results in their whole life from that.
The Power of Niching Down: From Hundreds to Thousands
Max: And I remember it’s such a good example of niching down because now maybe you’re watching this right now and you say, oh, I have expertise in health and nutrition as well, I’m just gonna help people with health in general. But I remember when you guys came to us, you just had that expertise. You had no business yet or when you were just starting or something like that. How much did you make before? Were you making any money?
João: Virtually it’s zero. Like 200 years or 400 years for like in six months of working, so it’s zero.
Max: So you made no, so you tried yourself six months only a couple of hundred bucks, okay. And well you know now 16K it’s not so bad.
And so maybe you’re watching this right now and you have health expertise and you’re thinking like, oh I wanna help everybody. But one of the first things that we started doing, we said, okay, let’s niche down. You have the expertise, position yourself in a niche market. And then I think at the beginning you focused on both men and women with digestive and health issues. And then we said, no, let’s niche down to only women and now you are positioned really really well helping only women with that, with the digestive issues and the health problems that they get as a result to that. And it’s going very very well and it’s just such a nice proof that niching down in a niche markets is much than just kinda going broad and trying to help a lot of people.
Max: And you live in Portugal, Lisbon?
Tiago: Yeah.
Max: Nice and it’s only the two of you as far as I remember. So you don’t have a team or anything like that yet, it’s just the two of you?
João: Yeah.
Max: And what do you think was like the biggest learnings that you’ve got from from working with us? If you think back to when you started and you had nothing and now to having cracked 16k, do you have any bigger biggest learning lessons?
Tiago: Like for example, we started teaching health and for us before teaching we applied to us and we achieved freedom. Like I know how to basically not die. I basically know how not to get sick. And with the money it was such like, oh my God, there is no freedom in this. How do I make money? How do I overcome this barrier? And with you guys, you guys surely did it’s pretty simple. There is this formula that if you execute, you make money.
Max: Yeah, I love it Love it. That’s cool because I kinda felt like that as well when I started. My first business, the dating advice business. It was also that kind of the social type of freedom. How to be yourself, how to be confident and stuff like that. And it was the same for me. Like I had that part of my life handled but I didn’t have the money part handled. And then I started online coaching. First I started offline coaching, I taught people offline how to become more self confident. Then I started doing it online, started scaling, started building an online business from that and it’s such a beautiful thing to kinda have all of those aspects handled in your life. To be like, oh, I live healthy, I’m happy, I have great relationships and I’m free and I don’t have to worry about finances and stuff like that. And then I don’t have to drag myself to a job. And it’s cool because so many of our clients, they have at least one part of their life handled pretty well and then we help them monetize that so they also have the job life handled ’cause they don’t have to have a job anymore. They have their own business and stuff like that. And that’s really cool.
Max: So both of you guys are very chill, very relaxed people and very down to earth. How does it feel to have in crack 16k in one month? Are you guys excited about that? Or you just, that’s great.
João: Yeah it’s just like Indian, like I got this money. It doesn’t like, it changes everything. But it’s pretty cool to have this freedom, you know? Like yesterday I heads to the north. Last week I went to this, the movies and I decided though, let’s go for the IMAX, why not I can you know. Any of those small things you start to realize heavy. This is pretty much different from how I was living life from back then before making money.
Max: Where did you go in IMAX? In Lisbon or where?
João: In Lisbon, to watch the 1917.
Max: Oh, I love that movie. We just watched it recently as well, especially in IMAX that a sick.
João: Every explosion you like, it happens to you.
Manual Lead Generation: The Secret Weapon for Success
Max: So since you guys are brothers, who’s doing what? Do you have kinda like role distinction like who is doing what in your business?
Tiago: We basically assume each and everyone of us every role. So I do my manual leads, I posts, I generates severall calls, I do the calls and I do the client’s and him as well.
Max: Okay, so you do you do compete with yourself? Who gets more calls or something like that?
João: Actually the last month he did more than I and he frustrates me of it.
Max: Love it, now you mentioned manual lead generation, right? And if you’re watching this, then I talk about this all the time. I say, look, in order to make 10K a month, you don’t need a big social media. You don’t need a big YouTube, you don’t even need a goddamn website. You do everything with manual lead gen. And that’s exactly kinda like the first step and we’ll talk more about this later.
Max: So manual lead gen means you manually actually reach out to prospective clients. Meaning you can reach out to them in certain Facebook groups, on certain internet forums, et cetera. And all you do is you basically send them a dm, you show them that you can help them or you ask them if they have a situation they can use your help in that expertise. And then what you do then is you get them on a call. On that call, you give them some value, you show them that you know what you’re talking about and then what you do then is you give them an offer to become a client. And if you do it right, and what we do in our program is we give you the script and we teach you how to do it right. You can actually easily get your first clients from there. You can easily make your first 10k with our clients making over 20k just with that in one month and obviously that’s a very nice thing so, how exactly are you guys getting your clients?
Tiago: Just by manual leads.
Max: So you reach out to people that you find on Facebook or on LinkedIn. Do you use LinkedIn as well or just Facebook?
João: We using but we didn’t get any good results from LinkedIn yet at least.
Max: So you’re only doing Facebook, you’re focusing on that.
Tiago: Facebook and Instagram.
Max: Nice and you messaging these people, you get them on a call, make them an offer.
João: Add them, they see our content, we reach out to them and then make the process you taught us.
Max: Nice nice, you mentioned your content so what exactly are you doing? Do you have a big YouTube channel or anything?
Tiago: No, we like maybe I have one video there, but we never know brand besides the know, behind us.
Max: How many subscribers do you have on that one YouTube video?
João: Two maybe.
Max: How many followers do you have on Instagram?
Tiago: We reached 1k, last week maybe.
Max: So you’ve 1000 followers on Instagram. And I love saying that ’cause I asked that every one of our five-figure clients, also six-figure clients. How many followers do you have on Instagram? And they always have like I think maximum 4,000 followers. And it’s again, it’s such a mind blow for most people thinking like, oh, they have to have a million followers or something. It’s crazy because you’re probably making more money with that 1000 followers on Instagram than most people with 100,000 followers, 200,000 followers on Instagram. And this is something that we’re focusing so strongly on. We always say money first, then brand. Because if you do brand first all you get is the wrong type of followers, meaning followers that don’t execute, followers that don’t care. Usually you go way too broad, you’re not positioned a niche market. and usually these people don’t wanna buy anything from you.
Max: So I don’t know about you or you watching, but I prefer a small brand that makes me a ton of money that is highly lucrative over a big brand with a bunch of whack followers that don’t actually care. I’ve had both, I’ve had the 300,000 followers YouTube account, which was great and I love it. That was back then for my dating advice, but it was also not even closely as lucrative as the smaller YouTube channel that we have now as you’re watching this. What do we have 61,000 followers or something like that as by the time of this recording and that’s even a lot, but even when we had 5,000 subscribers on YouTube, we were making much more money than most people with hundreds of thousands of followers. And the cool thing is you can still build a brand upon that. You can still build a big brand upon that, but you at least you’re making money already, even just with a thousand followers. Like why not making that money already? You know that’s a very, very nice thing so what about your clients? Are they happy? Does it inspire you? How do you work with your clients? Oh, you’re the expert in the client. Just to mix it up a little bit.
Tiago: Basically they are loving the program. It’s like when they come to us and after the three months, their life changes. Their family, their wives, we are basically working with a woman. By their husbands get super happy, their children because they see the woman be getting better. Their wife, everything changed.
Building a Scalable Coaching Business That Changes Lives
Max: Love it love it, that’s great. And that’s what I think is so great about if you do online coaching compared to for example, like an info product. I used to do info products, works pretty well, people get results and I used to do that with the dating advice program for many years. And then we switched to actual online coaching where you are, you don’t just give them a bunch of videos to watch and then you are good luck, but you actually coach these people when you’re in touch with them. And as good as the info products were, the actual coaching online got even better results. And the beautiful thing is not only are the clients getting better results but also you kinda see that better as a coach ’cause you’re in touch with them and you see the results of that. And I think it’s beautiful. Like you said you see these women, they’re getting happier life, their family is profiting from that. Their husbands are profiting from that and it’s such an inspiring thing to do so ’cause you get the money side on one end, you make very good money with that. But at the other side you get the fulfillment end, meaning you’re actually helping people. You’re doing them a great favor.
Max: And the thing is too, we kinda talked about this off camera earlier when we smoke shisha or when I smoke shisha. That it’s very very scalable, much more scalable than most people think. Most people think, oh I wanna do an info product ’cause that’s scalable. I could just do… I just sell thousands of these info products and never have to do anything. But if you do it right with the proper structure, you actually don’t have to work really a lot to get in touch with your one on one clients. If you give them a good structure and you give them a touch point where you say, here’s my WhatsApp message me if you have an issue. That’s what we’re communicating with. Or you say, let’s do a weekly call, right? For you as a coach, that’s not a lot of work. You can literally have hundreds of clients and it still only takes you a couple of hours per week, four, five hours per week where you actually have to work together with them ’cause if you have a proper structure, the clients are executing and they only get back to you when they have a specific question and that can be done very quickly like again, maybe they have your WhatsApp. You chilling at a restaurant with your buddies. Client has a question, you leave him a voice message, explain that to them, and then boom, client goes off executing again. And that’s the beautiful thing because it’s focused on the client’s actually executing things and not just use 50,000 videos, go watch them, become a theory junkie and that’s a great thing.
Max: I mean, this is the first time we’re meeting in person but like we’ve been working over WhatsApp all this time to get you to that and there’s just such a good proof that it totally works online and people are getting results. Do you focus only on women in Portugal or is it international?
João: No just in Portugal.
Max: Just in Portugal, love it. Fantastic, where do most of your clients come from? From specific cities or all over the country?
Tiago: All over the country.
Max: Have you ever met some of them in person actually?
João: Yeah actually two weeks ago. One of them come to our house to have a lunch with us and dinner, it was amazing.
Max: Nice that’s fantastic, that’s fantastic and if you’re wondering by now so what’s the next plan, what’s the next steps for you guys? So obviously you’ve cracked 16,000 last month, that’s pretty nice. Even if you’re two people as 8k per person, it’s nice to live with. The next goal for us is to get to the 25k a month and it’s fairly easy to get you there as long as you guys will keep executing, as long as you guys will keep implementing what we tell you we get to the 25k a month. And then once we crack that, we start making first key hires. So we’ll help you get the first employee so you can start delegating some things, and you can grow 50ks then afterwards and then 100k and so on and so forth. With your niche is easily scalable to six figures a month. And I’m telling you that now, and it might seem like this kinda far away thing but I think even back then when you guys started with us, getting to five figures also seemed like far away or did you ‘Cause some people are arrogant. They’re like, oh, I always knew it or how was it for you guys? Did you think you’d ever make this kinda money?
João: I remember me and Tiago were talking when we started our goal is to hit 10k and he seemed like super further, as far away I mean.
Max: I mean sometimes it’s difficult to grasp that you could ever make this kinda money. I mean the same was for me when I was, how old are you now?
João: 27.
Max: You’re 27, yours 23 or what was it?
Max: I mean when I was your age, I was just starting with coaching and I wasn’t making any money. And just even if I had made like 1000 bucks, I would have been like this 1000 bucks. I didn’t have to go to an office I made 1000 bucks. And then at first when I did offline coaching, I think I cracked like 4,000 dollars a month and I’m like, this is insane. And I was thinking back to the random jobs I had before, like summer jobs where we’d make like 700 bucks for a month and I’m like, here I made 4k, that’s insane. And let alone thinking I could ever make a million. And then when I was 26, I cracked my first million and then I started scaling my business and now we’re making several seven figures a month and I’m like, hey, this is insane. I would have never thought this is kinda possible.
Max: And what I like about you two is that you’re very humble and that will bring you very very far because we’ve talked about this before on the channel and I wanna give you that as well. This is very very important that you stay humble because too many people that start getting an ego, especially once they crack 15k, 10k a month, they’re like, I am the grandiose entrepreneur. I’m making 10k that’s way more than I would have made. And then it get kinda arrogant. And then what they lose is they lose the openness to advice. So someone gives them advice, do this so you can make more. And then maybe they say yes on the outside, but on the inside they don’t implement it and then they either get stuck on 10k forever or they even lose it because they’re arrogant and they don’t even see the problems that slowly arise and haven’t talked to you in person before we started doing this interview. Made me show, okay, these guys are very humble, these guys are brothers. I think that also helps a lot that you guys two brothers because you kind of feeding off each other and you kind of pushing each other and keeping each other humble. And that’s a very good thing and you always have to keep that up. So once we scale you at 25k, remain humble. Once we scale at a 50k, remain humble. That is very very important and that is one thing that I love about my mentors, they’re extremely harsh and I’m harsh to you as well. I remember it has been a couple situations where I gave you a lot of hard times. That’s something that my mentors do with me, they keep me humble as well and that helps me grow so much. And that’s a very very important thing.
Max: What do you guys think was the most important point for you two, in terms of working together with us. What helped you the most to get to these results? Did you have a specific mindset or anything like that?
Tiago: I would say everything is structured. There’s structures we follow every day.
Max: And just how we give you the structure every day to execute on that?
João: Yeah and the most difficult part I would say was to believe that if you follow the structure, the results appear.
The Investment Mindset: Keys to Long-Term Success
Max: And if you think like someone’s watching this right now, they might at zero. They might wanna get started with their own online coaching business as well. What would you tell them?
Tiago: To invest in you.
Max: To invest in yourself?
João: Everyone gets scared but after some months it’s worth it.
Max: Nice, love it. I mean I can’t even, I can’t put it in better words myself invested in yourself. There’s so many dumb things that you could buy with money and trust me, I’m guilty, I’m not innocent in that regard as well. I buy a lot of dumb things, but I buy a lot of dumb things after I’ve invested in myself. And nowadays I’m at a point where I spend over hundred thousand dollars a month just on mentors and I’m happy to do that because it’s an investment in myself. Like, I don’t know nice sunglasses or a watch that’s not necessarily an investment in myself. That’s stuff that I buy for myself just as some sort of something good that I wanna give myself. Find a little present to like, hey, it’s a reward. But a vast portion of the money that I make goes back into myself either as a person, as a leader, as a business owner, or straight into the business back itself. Right into ads and stuff like that. And you guys not doing any ads yet? We’ll get to that much later. You don’t have to do worry about ads until around 35k a month, and then we can pump some of that back into ads. But the whole idea of investing in yourself is such an important thing. So many people, especially when they’re broke, they invest in, going to the movie theaters or drinking a dollar Starbucks coffee. You can do that once you’re making good money, but if you’re broke then I recommend you saving as much money as you can til you can invest it in yourself and then make more, it’s almost like a vending machine. You put a dollar in and two dollars comes back out. You put another dollar and you get another dollar, you put three dollars in and so on and so forth.
Max: Do you guys have anything else to say? Anything else you wanna mention? Putting the pressure on him?
João: One of the most things that I’m grateful, especially for starting to work with you guys, it’s not so much about the money because as we were saying, the only thing I really did was buy some shoes and go to the movie.
Max: I know you guys can’t see it but you have nice Nike shoes. You both have the same or the similar ones. And when I asked you about, hey, what about the shoes? They said, oh that’s the first thing they started buying themselves. So they’re nice.
João: Even when I were like, oh this is too much, but okay let it to go a little bit. It’s not the money but the quantity of people that we help so far, it’s been amazing. And the fact that we are building the brand is secondary but we are building a business that is able to reach out to so many women in this case, it’s like the thing I’m most grateful for joining this program.
Max: Love it love it, sounds fantastic sounds fantastic. And I love that because when you really focus on giving value to your clients, money comes. And before you came here, before you started working with us, you were two people with expertise. You were two guys that wanted to help people. You didn’t know how to do it on the business side. You came to us, we started helping you. Now you crack 10k, you made 16k last month and that’s very very nice. And because you care about your clients, money comes. If you have the proper structure, you follow the proper structure, you know how to monetize it. Now you get both of best worlds. You give value you help people and you make good money. I love that, I love that you said that.

Max: Where did you go in IMAX? In Lisbon or where?
João: In Lisbon, to watch the 1917.
Max: Oh, I love that movie. We just watched it recently as well, especially in IMAX that a sick.
João: Every explosion you like, it happens to you.
Manual Lead Generation: The Secret Weapon for Success
Max: So since you guys are brothers, who’s doing what? Do you have kinda like role distinction like who is doing what in your business?
Tiago: We basically assume each and everyone of us every role. So I do my manual leads, I posts, I generates severall calls, I do the calls and I do the client’s and him as well.
Max: Okay, so you do you do compete with yourself? Who gets more calls or something like that?
João: Actually the last month he did more than I and he frustrates me of it.
Max: Love it, now you mentioned manual lead generation, right? And if you’re watching this, then I talk about this all the time. I say, look, in order to make 10K a month, you don’t need a big social media. You don’t need a big YouTube, you don’t even need a goddamn website. You do everything with manual lead gen. And that’s exactly kinda like the first step and we’ll talk more about this later.
Max: So manual lead gen means you manually actually reach out to prospective clients. Meaning you can reach out to them in certain Facebook groups, on certain internet forums, et cetera. And all you do is you basically send them a dm, you show them that you can help them or you ask them if they have a situation they can use your help in that expertise. And then what you do then is you get them on a call. On that call, you give them some value, you show them that you know what you’re talking about and then what you do then is you give them an offer to become a client. And if you do it right, and what we do in our program is we give you the script and we teach you how to do it right. You can actually easily get your first clients from there. You can easily make your first 10k with our clients making over 20k just with that in one month and obviously that’s a very nice thing so, how exactly are you guys getting your clients?
Tiago: Just by manual leads.
Max: So you reach out to people that you find on Facebook or on LinkedIn. Do you use LinkedIn as well or just Facebook?
João: We using but we didn’t get any good results from LinkedIn yet at least.
Max: So you’re only doing Facebook, you’re focusing on that.
Tiago: Facebook and Instagram.
Max: Nice and you messaging these people, you get them on a call, make them an offer.
João: Add them, they see our content, we reach out to them and then make the process you taught us.
Max: Nice nice, you mentioned your content so what exactly are you doing? Do you have a big YouTube channel or anything?
Tiago: No, we like maybe I have one video there, but we never know brand besides the know, behind us.
Max: How many subscribers do you have on that one YouTube video?
João: Two maybe.
Max: How many followers do you have on Instagram?
Tiago: We reached 1k, last week maybe.
Max: So you’ve 1000 followers on Instagram. And I love saying that ’cause I asked that every one of our five-figure clients, also six-figure clients. How many followers do you have on Instagram? And they always have like I think maximum 4,000 followers. And it’s again, it’s such a mind blow for most people thinking like, oh, they have to have a million followers or something. It’s crazy because you’re probably making more money with that 1000 followers on Instagram than most people with 100,000 followers, 200,000 followers on Instagram. And this is something that we’re focusing so strongly on. We always say money first, then brand. Because if you do brand first all you get is the wrong type of followers, meaning followers that don’t execute, followers that don’t care. Usually you go way too broad, you’re not positioned a niche market. and usually these people don’t wanna buy anything from you.
Max: So I don’t know about you or you watching, but I prefer a small brand that makes me a ton of money that is highly lucrative over a big brand with a bunch of whack followers that don’t actually care. I’ve had both, I’ve had the 300,000 followers YouTube account, which was great and I love it. That was back then for my dating advice, but it was also not even closely as lucrative as the smaller YouTube channel that we have now as you’re watching this. What do we have 61,000 followers or something like that as by the time of this recording and that’s even a lot, but even when we had 5,000 subscribers on YouTube, we were making much more money than most people with hundreds of thousands of followers. And the cool thing is you can still build a brand upon that. You can still build a big brand upon that, but you at least you’re making money already, even just with a thousand followers. Like why not making that money already? You know that’s a very, very nice thing so what about your clients? Are they happy? Does it inspire you? How do you work with your clients? Oh, you’re the expert in the client. Just to mix it up a little bit.
Tiago: Basically they are loving the program. It’s like when they come to us and after the three months, their life changes. Their family, their wives, we are basically working with a woman. By their husbands get super happy, their children because they see the woman be getting better. Their wife, everything changed.
Building a Scalable Coaching Business That Changes Lives
Max: Love it love it, that’s great. And that’s what I think is so great about if you do online coaching compared to for example, like an info product. I used to do info products, works pretty well, people get results and I used to do that with the dating advice program for many years. And then we switched to actual online coaching where you are, you don’t just give them a bunch of videos to watch and then you are good luck, but you actually coach these people when you’re in touch with them. And as good as the info products were, the actual coaching online got even better results. And the beautiful thing is not only are the clients getting better results but also you kinda see that better as a coach ’cause you’re in touch with them and you see the results of that. And I think it’s beautiful. Like you said you see these women, they’re getting happier life, their family is profiting from that. Their husbands are profiting from that and it’s such an inspiring thing to do so ’cause you get the money side on one end, you make very good money with that. But at the other side you get the fulfillment end, meaning you’re actually helping people. You’re doing them a great favor.
Max: And the thing is too, we kinda talked about this off camera earlier when we smoke shisha or when I smoke shisha. That it’s very very scalable, much more scalable than most people think. Most people think, oh I wanna do an info product ’cause that’s scalable. I could just do… I just sell thousands of these info products and never have to do anything. But if you do it right with the proper structure, you actually don’t have to work really a lot to get in touch with your one on one clients. If you give them a good structure and you give them a touch point where you say, here’s my WhatsApp message me if you have an issue. That’s what we’re communicating with. Or you say, let’s do a weekly call, right? For you as a coach, that’s not a lot of work. You can literally have hundreds of clients and it still only takes you a couple of hours per week, four, five hours per week where you actually have to work together with them ’cause if you have a proper structure, the clients are executing and they only get back to you when they have a specific question and that can be done very quickly like again, maybe they have your WhatsApp. You chilling at a restaurant with your buddies. Client has a question, you leave him a voice message, explain that to them, and then boom, client goes off executing again. And that’s the beautiful thing because it’s focused on the client’s actually executing things and not just use 50,000 videos, go watch them, become a theory junkie and that’s a great thing.
Max: I mean, this is the first time we’re meeting in person but like we’ve been working over WhatsApp all this time to get you to that and there’s just such a good proof that it totally works online and people are getting results. Do you focus only on women in Portugal or is it international?
João: No just in Portugal.
Max: Just in Portugal, love it. Fantastic, where do most of your clients come from? From specific cities or all over the country?
Tiago: All over the country.
Max: Have you ever met some of them in person actually?
João: Yeah actually two weeks ago. One of them come to our house to have a lunch with us and dinner, it was amazing.
Max: Nice that’s fantastic, that’s fantastic and if you’re wondering by now so what’s the next plan, what’s the next steps for you guys? So obviously you’ve cracked 16,000 last month, that’s pretty nice. Even if you’re two people as 8k per person, it’s nice to live with. The next goal for us is to get to the 25k a month and it’s fairly easy to get you there as long as you guys will keep executing, as long as you guys will keep implementing what we tell you we get to the 25k a month. And then once we crack that, we start making first key hires. So we’ll help you get the first employee so you can start delegating some things, and you can grow 50ks then afterwards and then 100k and so on and so forth. With your niche is easily scalable to six figures a month. And I’m telling you that now, and it might seem like this kinda far away thing but I think even back then when you guys started with us, getting to five figures also seemed like far away or did you ‘Cause some people are arrogant. They’re like, oh, I always knew it or how was it for you guys? Did you think you’d ever make this kinda money?
João: I remember me and Tiago were talking when we started our goal is to hit 10k and he seemed like super further, as far away I mean.
Max: I mean sometimes it’s difficult to grasp that you could ever make this kinda money. I mean the same was for me when I was, how old are you now?
João: 27.
Max: You’re 27, yours 23 or what was it?
Max: I mean when I was your age, I was just starting with coaching and I wasn’t making any money. And just even if I had made like 1000 bucks, I would have been like this 1000 bucks. I didn’t have to go to an office I made 1000 bucks. And then at first when I did offline coaching, I think I cracked like 4,000 dollars a month and I’m like, this is insane. And I was thinking back to the random jobs I had before, like summer jobs where we’d make like 700 bucks for a month and I’m like, here I made 4k, that’s insane. And let alone thinking I could ever make a million. And then when I was 26, I cracked my first million and then I started scaling my business and now we’re making several seven figures a month and I’m like, hey, this is insane. I would have never thought this is kinda possible.
Max: And what I like about you two is that you’re very humble and that will bring you very very far because we’ve talked about this before on the channel and I wanna give you that as well. This is very very important that you stay humble because too many people that start getting an ego, especially once they crack 15k, 10k a month, they’re like, I am the grandiose entrepreneur. I’m making 10k that’s way more than I would have made. And then it get kinda arrogant. And then what they lose is they lose the openness to advice. So someone gives them advice, do this so you can make more. And then maybe they say yes on the outside, but on the inside they don’t implement it and then they either get stuck on 10k forever or they even lose it because they’re arrogant and they don’t even see the problems that slowly arise and haven’t talked to you in person before we started doing this interview. Made me show, okay, these guys are very humble, these guys are brothers. I think that also helps a lot that you guys two brothers because you kind of feeding off each other and you kind of pushing each other and keeping each other humble. And that’s a very good thing and you always have to keep that up. So once we scale you at 25k, remain humble. Once we scale at a 50k, remain humble. That is very very important and that is one thing that I love about my mentors, they’re extremely harsh and I’m harsh to you as well. I remember it has been a couple situations where I gave you a lot of hard times. That’s something that my mentors do with me, they keep me humble as well and that helps me grow so much. And that’s a very very important thing.
Max: What do you guys think was the most important point for you two, in terms of working together with us. What helped you the most to get to these results? Did you have a specific mindset or anything like that?
Tiago: I would say everything is structured. There’s structures we follow every day.
Max: And just how we give you the structure every day to execute on that?
João: Yeah and the most difficult part I would say was to believe that if you follow the structure, the results appear.
The Investment Mindset: Keys to Long-Term Success
Max: And if you think like someone’s watching this right now, they might at zero. They might wanna get started with their own online coaching business as well. What would you tell them?
Tiago: To invest in you.
Max: To invest in yourself?
João: Everyone gets scared but after some months it’s worth it.
Max: Nice, love it. I mean I can’t even, I can’t put it in better words myself invested in yourself. There’s so many dumb things that you could buy with money and trust me, I’m guilty, I’m not innocent in that regard as well. I buy a lot of dumb things, but I buy a lot of dumb things after I’ve invested in myself. And nowadays I’m at a point where I spend over hundred thousand dollars a month just on mentors and I’m happy to do that because it’s an investment in myself. Like, I don’t know nice sunglasses or a watch that’s not necessarily an investment in myself. That’s stuff that I buy for myself just as some sort of something good that I wanna give myself. Find a little present to like, hey, it’s a reward. But a vast portion of the money that I make goes back into myself either as a person, as a leader, as a business owner, or straight into the business back itself. Right into ads and stuff like that. And you guys not doing any ads yet? We’ll get to that much later. You don’t have to do worry about ads until around 35k a month, and then we can pump some of that back into ads. But the whole idea of investing in yourself is such an important thing. So many people, especially when they’re broke, they invest in, going to the movie theaters or drinking a dollar Starbucks coffee. You can do that once you’re making good money, but if you’re broke then I recommend you saving as much money as you can til you can invest it in yourself and then make more, it’s almost like a vending machine. You put a dollar in and two dollars comes back out. You put another dollar and you get another dollar, you put three dollars in and so on and so forth.
Max: Do you guys have anything else to say? Anything else you wanna mention? Putting the pressure on him?
João: One of the most things that I’m grateful, especially for starting to work with you guys, it’s not so much about the money because as we were saying, the only thing I really did was buy some shoes and go to the movie.
Max: I know you guys can’t see it but you have nice Nike shoes. You both have the same or the similar ones. And when I asked you about, hey, what about the shoes? They said, oh that’s the first thing they started buying themselves. So they’re nice.
João: Even when I were like, oh this is too much, but okay let it to go a little bit. It’s not the money but the quantity of people that we help so far, it’s been amazing. And the fact that we are building the brand is secondary but we are building a business that is able to reach out to so many women in this case, it’s like the thing I’m most grateful for joining this program.
Max: Love it love it, sounds fantastic sounds fantastic. And I love that because when you really focus on giving value to your clients, money comes. And before you came here, before you started working with us, you were two people with expertise. You were two guys that wanted to help people. You didn’t know how to do it on the business side. You came to us, we started helping you. Now you crack 10k, you made 16k last month and that’s very very nice. And because you care about your clients, money comes. If you have the proper structure, you follow the proper structure, you know how to monetize it. Now you get both of best worlds. You give value you help people and you make good money. I love that, I love that you said that.
