Max: Juan Sebastian Riviera how much did you make exactly in the last uh two months?

Sebastian: I have the numbers for the last month it was 20K in programs I sold I have 14k cash collected.

The Business Model and Target Market

Max: So what exactly is it that you’re coaching?

Sebastian: I’m teaching people how to start an online store from scratch I’m focused mainly on 35 Plus women either staying at home with kids because they have to because of the kids and it’s all only in the U.S yeah and it’s in Spanish.

Max: That makes sense yeah so Spanish-speaking Market mostly focused on middle-aged women who want to build their own online store and you’re crushing it it’s really cool and you know we’ve been working together now for a couple weeks and it’s a it’s a pleasure to be working with you you’re always executing you always you take the feedback you just go do it and of course your clients are um are profiting from that which is very beautiful to see so before you came to us where where were you before with your business did you already have some experience?

Sebastian: I was only charging um bucks an hour and I actually I had a I had an issue with my voice because of talking too much and I wasn’t making enough so I got to a point where I was with a friend she’s really successful so at some point she told me do you only make 30k 30 bucks an hour do you only charge that why so little and I felt so weird I felt like yeah what am I doing and then I’m like I need to um look for help and I was like who’s the most structured person who I I believe can teach me this stuff and I remember um I did a program with you the Fearless program I remember the structure and everything step by step and I’m like he’s now teaching business and the kind of thing I can use for myself and then I’m like yeah it’s a no-brainer yeah.

The Pricing Revolution and Content Strategy

Max: Nice so it’s obviously cool to hear in regards to the the mentorship so far what do you think was your biggest lesson?

Sebastian: My biggest lesson was people needs to be charged more so because when you charge more to people they Implement more they value the program more I was when I was charged back in those days I was charging 30 bucks an hour people were complaining people were like um like why do I have to keep paying for every hour and suffering and it wasn’t it was a mess and and then the whole mindset thing it wasn’t easy at the beginning because that was the whole shift that I did with you guys and I was like I’m charging 30 bucks an hour and now I’m charging 1K at the beginning and then 1.5 and now 2K for my program then that really helped me a lot the to understand that I can’t I can charge more for my program I can make something more premium and in regards to that people is going to implement more in my brand and everything is going to grow more and that’s that was the best thing.

Max: Nice it’s also that you’re giving more value to each client right we didn’t just blindly get more money but you also now putting that back into the program and giving more value to your clients right?

Sebastian: I am every day I every day I just bought this thing I’m putting a lot back in my program I’m making better videos I’m gonna now have an assistant who’s gonna help me with a lot of stuff so yeah I’m putting a little back in the program yeah.

Max: Nice nice how many short-term videos do you publish per week?

Sebastian: I’m trying minimum two a day and then I replicate and to the all the other platforms I’m doing Tick Tock right now I have two Instagram accounts my personal one and my business one and I’m also posting on YouTube but it’s just two a day.

Max: And how long is each video normally?

Sebastian: It’s between 30 seconds 15 some of them 45 to 50 but that’s it nice most of them only 15 seconds.

Max: So it’s about 30 to 30 to 60 seconds a day that you’re producing that are bringing you like 20K a month right now?

Sebastian: That’s correct.

Max: I mean that’s so crazy too you know if you if you think about it like I mean even just five years ago this whole short form video content wasn’t even a thing you know people had to create like hour-long YouTube videos I remember YouTube was all about the watch minutes long form and so forth and YouTube is still great there’s still a a space a place and time for doing YouTube but I believe short form videos have really kind of revolutionized the game in terms of like if you create a freaking 15 to 30 second video you slap some emojis on there as long as you’re just on point with the delivery side of things you can get clients and if you know how to sell to them and if you don’t want to sell and how to sell and how to write in the DM so that they’re hyped about buying from you I mean that’s it that’s it like that’s how easy making 10 20K a month is we haven’t even scaled you yet I mean we have advanced clients that are making 50 to 100k with short form videos only and it’s just such a powerful thing to do and short from videos is not going to go anywhere like it’s not going to be replaced by anything but videos is the thing like yeah maybe there’s going to be VR at some point and so on so forth but the main medium is still always going to be video and people are not going to have a longer or attention span they’re only going to have a shorter attention spending they can’t really get as much shorter as like 15 to 30 seconds so this is exactly at the heart of what works psychologically speaking because I’ve been doing psychology based marketing for over a decade now also with my previous business I mean you know it you’ve bought one of my identity so from a psychological thing it’s not going to change from a technical thing it’s not going to change so it’s it’s the most important thing out there right now and people need to realize that how easy it is to make 10 20K plus a month just too short for videos but anyways what about what about you like what is your what does your daily life look like where where are you based in right now where are you tuning in?

Juan Sebastian: I’m in Houston.

Daily Routine and Lifestyle Freedom

Max: Nice nice okay so what what do you do on a daily basis normally?

Sebastian: I wake up around six or seven it depends I try to sleep like seven hours a day minimum and then I uh I do some exercise I work on my store because I haven’t online I actually have six online stores that’s roughly about an hour Max and then I start with my my business I reply to my clients my students and then I look at my my time schedule I post videos I try to post it to the two times I post a day I try to do it in nine a.m and 11 A.M or 11 30. and then basically my whole morning is like posting and doing all related to my two businesses my coaching business and my online stores and then the rest of the day I’m just booking calls I’m doing the DM framework um dming clients or replying to the ends and I’m doing um basically whatever is in my agenda for the day or I can just take the day off for example today I’m gonna go with my brother to see some properties nice I have the freedom I want it but I want him I want more results so I’m basically now like working twice but it’s because I want to not not because I have to like before and that’s that makes me happy.

Max: I love it you’re I can see that you have the consistency that it takes you see you have the larger gold Vision that it takes and of course you have the work ethic and it’s really awesome to work with you man and I’m happy that you know that we’re we’re getting to the 20K months so quickly and uh I think this guy’s the limit like I said like next thing for us is to scale you scale operations and uh I’ll probably also start a little bit more with paid shout outs which is you know kind of like the advanced leverage hook that we can use to get you to 15 and then ultimately 100K a month so overall super duper happy now the last question I have for you man is because you mentioned like you’re buying properties and stuff like that is that what you’re doing with the money or did you buy anything else did you reward yourself in any way?

Sebastian: I haven’t yet um I’ve been tempted I’m gonna buy it sooner a new BMW nice I’ve been avoiding it because I know if I entered the room I’m gonna buy it but I’m I’m trying to be smart here I’m trying to um not being too crazy with the money but so far since I’ve started I bought two property lots to build in the north of Houston so far with the money from fpn and I bought two two lots um I’m trying to finish paying for them in this semester and then I’m good to buy my BMW that I wanted the SUV and but now with my brother we’re planning to buy a duplex on a really good part of Houston to rent it and that’s what I’m doing with my money and I’m trying to be smart.

Max: Amazing man I’m happy man you’re crushing it you’re doing all the right things keep crushing and keep pushing man um is there anything else you want to mention to you know someone who’s watching this to the viewer anything else we haven’t touched on?

Sebastian: What I would mention is it just sometimes needs to need to take his step like um one step at a time like just decide to uh to do it and just work consistently follow the program step by step start implementing I know I’ve I’ve seen my videos I haven’t deleted them from my Instagram they’re horrible first time I was doing like short form content they were horrible I look at myself and I’m like damn how was people even liking this but I’m like is is the process people nowadays they don’t believe in the process I believe in the process in the step by step especially because I have other businesses and now I know it’s one step at a time but if you want to make it like bigger and faster follow a step-by-step process from your Mentor you need to have a mentor you need to follow the steps you need to put in your like your Special Touch that’s what I did for example with my link in my bio that’s something I just I don’t know um just thought I could do it I put a link in my bio started doing videos I didn’t know what I was doing then with this the proper structure you gave me that just boom and then yeah it’s just a matter of starting just don’t think it too much you start just begin put money in your in your head.
