Meet Megan: The Speech Pathologist Who Wanted More
Megan: My name is Megan and I’m a speech-language pathologist in Minnesota. I own my own practice which has been growing for a year and a half. And just last fall 2025, I wanted to make passive income, but also like, how can I do it within my niche of myofunctional therapy and pediatric feeding, and just bring more awareness to the negative impacts of mouth breathing. And then I stumbled upon Max’s program on Instagram. I had already had a fairly good following beforehand, which helped. But I think Max’s program just gave me a better understanding of what is going to tap into the psychological piece of viewers and get them to engage with your content and then potentially buy your products.
From First Product to Snowball: Building the Course Empire
Megan: I think just the weekly coaching, this is what I’m working on, getting some advice from you, and Max being available via text too is also helpful. But yeah, it’s just that added “do this” or “you don’t need to do this,” just little things to keep the trajectory going.
I think it was just the excitement of making a product and seeing it sell, and getting good feedback too, because it’s like I know it’s a good product, but getting that reassurance that people trust my judgment and they trust that I’m a good provider to give them good information. I think it’s just that constant. In my Stan Store, there’s that big chunk of money and you’re like, “Oh wow, that’s really nice.” And I never imagined. I always strove for some sort of passive income. I knew that I would find a breakthrough because I’ve tried other things that were not successful. I’ve had other Instagram coaches too that were just not as helpful and their strategies were a little different and questionable. But this has been working.
No More Stress: Financial Freedom and a Refined Niche
Megan: Not being stressed if I have a slow day. My practice has been growing, but if I had a couple of cancellations during a day, I would get really stressed. I’d be like, okay, that’s a good chunk of money that I couldn’t get because of a cancel. And I used to stress about it, but now I don’t.
And then I came to the point where I have such a specific niche of clients that I want to work with. I want to work with everybody, but in order for me to feel good about it, I need to keep up with the latest research, and that takes a lot of time and sometimes money. So if I’m trying to be too broad in my practice, client outcomes might be affected, and I’m not okay with that. So it’s given me the opportunity to pass along clients that are not really in my niche anymore and focus and be the expert in my niche.
The Vision Ahead: 100K Months, More Courses, and Hard Work
Megan: Like 100K months. So if that means I make a course for providers that are like CEs, just more in-depth courses that are like different tiers, an advanced course, or just continue to make courses, because they’re fun. And I feel like there’s a lot of misinformation online and I just want to bring more clarity to a lot of people, since there are many different opinions in this area.
I feel like people have an entrepreneur vision, but you need to execute it. You can’t just talk a lot about what you’re going to do. You have to actually do it. And sometimes that means late nights making products or content, or you take some time on the weekends, but I also try to make sure that I have a good work-life balance. It’s a little strenuous right now, but overall it’s gotten me. I’ve seen the return on my investment, and that reassurance that what I’m doing is working. But it also is the hard work.
She Had the Expertise. She Just Needed the System.
Megan had already built a growing speech therapy practice in Minnesota, but she knew there was more she could do with her knowledge.
She wanted to reach more people, create passive income, and stop stressing every time a client cancelled.
The problem wasn’t her expertise. She had years of that.
The problem was knowing how to package it, sell it, and get people to actually buy it.
