9 Weird Millionaire Habits That Actually Make Me Happy

Breaking the Perfect Entrepreneur Myth
Max: Everyone on YouTube loves talking about millionaire habits. You know, the usual. Wake up at 5:00 a.m. in the morning, meditate for an hour, drink kale smoothies, journal about your spirit animal, blah blah blah blah. And I get it. Morning routines are crucial for sure. But look, I’m a millionaire and sure, I work hard, but the stuff that actually keeps me sane and honestly makes me the happiest is way weirder than any morning routine you’ve seen. I’ve got habits that would probably make a life coach cry. Things that look completely pointless, but they’re the reason I stay grounded, creative, and don’t lose my damn mind building multiple seven to eight figure businesses. So, in this video, I’m going to pull back the curtain on the quirky, dorky things I do behind the scenes. And I guarantee you some of it might disgust you. Let’s dive in.
Indulgence as Self-Care – Ice Cream and Band Tees
Max: Number one, I actually often times eat two pints of Ben and Jerry’s ice cream for breakfast. I figured out a while ago that food makes me happy and it makes me very happy and I think about it all the time. So, today we’re going to have my all-time favorite peanut butter cup and we got the new one that I haven’t tried yet, banana pie. And what you have to realize is look, like a lot of entrepreneurs at a certain level, they’re trying to just optimize their life and just be perfect all the time. And they’re continuously in in competition with each other and with themselves thinking, you know, like, of course, well, I could indulge on some freaking Ben & Jerry’s, but then I had focus and if I work harder, I can do it and so on and so forth. But what’s the point about making millions if you can’t have the life of your dreams? Because a lot of times we get into building businesses because we want to build the life of our dreams, but then we’re slowly building it and we’re just more miserable than before than when we were broke or working at 7-Eleven. So, you have to find that balance. And I think the reason why that balance is so difficult to achieve. Look at how creamy. Mhm. The reason why that balance is so difficult to achieve is nowadays as as online entrepreneurs, we can work from anywhere and at any time, which sounds really good at first, but ultimately it’s also really difficult because we don’t have an off button. So instead of spending time with our family or going for a picnic with our girlfriends, we like, well, I could work right now and I could make even more money instead of eating this and Jerry’s ice cream. I could work more and I can make even more money. Yeah. But again, why did you get into this in the first place? Probably because you want to make a lot of money. probably also because you want to serve people and probably also because you want to get yourself a nice decent lifestyle without worry. So, so a lot of times I just eat Ben & Jerry’s for breakfast or as I call it breakfast of champions. The peanut butter Ben & Jerry is really hard to top.
Max: Second habit is I wear band t-shirts. Look, I’m not always the turtleneck and polo shirt max with all the responsibility and professionalism you would expect from a multiple seven figure business consultant. In my heart, I’m just a fan of great hard rock and heavy metal music. And a lot of times when I go to these concert, which by the way, I go to them a lot because I make enough money to be just traveling to a different country to see a band that I really want to see. Sometimes I see multiple times. Other times I just invite my friends to come with me. You know, I don’t drink alcohol or take drugs or anything like this. So when I do go to these concerts, I just invite everybody else for a beer. And it just brings joy to my face to see all these happy faces because I know a lot of times when I used to go to concerts back in the days I didn’t have money and couldn’t afford to have a drink and you know now where I have it like that one time when I surprised my dad and brother for a trip to Bratislava to go see AC/DC. I just skipped the line and then invited all the fans behind me for beer and I just bought them beers and everybody was happy and fist bumps and we’re taking photos and stuff. That’s really cool. Again, here in these videos, I look professional as as much as I can, but at the same time, like I’m just a human being. And I also love supporting bands, especially the smaller ones, by just buying all their merch because I I could never do that when I was younger. And I know how hard it is to be a musician these days. I always feel like I can represent their stuff if I get their if I get their merch and I just wear it personally and stuff like that or when I’m hanging out with friends. So, that’s always nice. All right, let’s try the banop pie habit.
Connection and Passion – Postcards and Formula 1
Max: Number three is really, really key. Please pay attention. You can laugh about me as much as you want about the ice cream, but this one’s really close to my heart. Writing postcards to my grandmothers. Every single Saturday is postcard writing day for me. And the reason why I do this is because I noticed it doesn’t take me much effort to write a postcard. You can write them online. I use a website called mypostcard.com or something. This is not a sponsored thing or anything, but the thing is like you can upload any iPhone photo to it. you can write on the back of the virtual postcard and then it sends out a physical actual printed out postcard to whoever you want. So I started this like four years ago or something like that. I sent postcards every single Saturday to my grandmothers and I noticed it doesn’t take me much effort but it brings them so much joy and happiness and it warms my heart. And every time I went to visit my grandmothers, they would show me the stack of postcards because they all they save them all that they got from like the last year. And you know, a lot of times I’m in different countries, I’m traveling the world, and I’m just giving them a little bit of info of what’s going on in my life. And makes them really happy. It makes me really happy to see them really happy. And um one of my grandmothers died a year ago. She she turned 99. And um it was really beautiful to know that I’ve I’ve put in a lot of effort over the last years to connect with her and you know like you don’t have a lot in common with an elderly woman as an entrepreneur but I really tried to share as much as I can about my world and explain to her how the internet works and how I’m making money off of it and how I’m helping all these people just with Zoom calls and it’s really really amazing and and every time I post this on Instagram I get so many DMs from followers who say wow Max, like I’m going to send my grandma now as well a postcard or my mom or my dad, my grandpa. So, please do that as well. They’re not around forever. It doesn’t take you much, but it gives them so much. I guarantee you. So, that’s a big one. Please do it.
Max: Which brings me to the next habit that keeps me completely sane, and that is Formula 1. I love watching Formula 1 because it gives me something to look forward to on the weekends. It gives me something to get inspired by. And it gives me something that just has nothing to do with my business. That just gives me a little bit of perspective into other things. And my routine is not just watching the race, but I actually watch the race first. Then I watch all the memes on Instagram. Like because memes, they pop up right after the race. I go check out all that for like an hour and then I go check out all the YouTube videos on the entire next day. and just consuming all the content about this this the lesson here for you is find something that inspires you, something that interests you and then lean into it fully. the the Japanese have a word for that called otu which basically means you get obsessed in a positive manner with something and uh I’m obsessed with product creation with giving value with building awesome systems and that’s all things that are healthy for me and my business but I also built this obsession outside of the business just to kind of counterbalance things oh and also by the way and this is kind of my next big point always order two to five desserts dessert portions are a scam I don’t know. Am I the only one? Like you eat a great meal, the meal is like a nice portions and then you order dessert and it’s like a like a cake and it’s like a like this big. It’s like a little round. It It’s like the size of a cookie and you eat it and you’re like, “Well, great. Now I want 10 more.” So, having eaten at the best restaurants all around the world, I noticed I just usually order all the desserts. You know, usually they have six, seven different ones. And I just say all the desserts and they’re like, “Oh, are you sure? It’s quite a lot.” And I’m like, listen, what’s the point of making all this money if I can’t allow myself to just order whatever I want and eat it all without worrying about the price or without worrying about it being too much? Trust me, dear waiter, I can freaking eat it.
Learning and Health – Audiobooks and Steak Breakfasts
Max: Something a little bit more productive I want to share with you as well. This is a good habit is free hands audiobooks wherever I go. I have a AirPods, AirPod Pros, which means they’re not cable and they’re keeping my hands free. Although you can do it with cable, too, to be honest. And I love reading about interesting stories or things that I could learn from personal development fiction and non-fiction and just really learning. But I know myself well enough that I’ll never sit down to just read. My brain doesn’t function like that. My brain is under stimulated when I read. So what I do is I audiobook everything. I’ve read over 200 books over the last couple of years just with audiobook. I read about one book per week according to my own statistics on Audible. And you know, I do it when when I eat, sometimes when I go to the airport, when I’m in the Uber, when I’m doing my 10K steps, I’m either on a call with a client or with a team member or with a good friend of mine or my mother or my grandmother or my girlfriend or which is what I mostly do. I listen to audiobooks all the time like that. You can read books without ever having to sit down. It’s great. It’s amazing.
Max: By the way, I don’t just eat ice cream every morning. I don’t do this all the time, although I do it quite a lot. usually a habit that I strongly recommend you for all the health fellas out there. Steak and eggs for breakfast. If you’ve never tried it, it is the best. Why? Because steak and eggs, it’s extremely healthy. It has a lot of micronutrients. It has zero carbohydrates and it’s the focus food. It’s crazy. All my entrepreneur friends that are making seven to eight figures a year, they’re all doing steak at least once a day. Don’t believe the nonsense of like red meat is bad for you. It’s literally not true. Red meat is the best thing you could ever get.
Life Balance and Growth – Sleep Time and City Gardens
Max: By the way, talk about the best thing ever, sleepy time. That’s my other great routine habit thingy. It’s called sleeping time. So, my girlfriend can get enough sleep. It’s really funny. Look, I’m a highly structured person. I structure everything. I plan everything. I mean, a lot of videos on this very YouTube channel are about the structure and and how I’m planning my days. My girlfriend is the polar opposite, which I think is also one of the reasons why I love her so much because she’s very free flowing. She’s just like whatever floats her boat, whatever feels good. And that really inspires me and it it makes things it keeps things fresh for me. If I had a girlfriend that would be as structured and crazy like me, I don’t think it would it would work well. And um the only problem is she works in her job which she loves very much. And no matter how much I tell her she should quit because obviously she doesn’t need to work anymore. She just loves what she does. She works with kids in the health sector. She loves it. And she likes to get up early in the morning. She’s not a morning person. And the crazy thing is because she’s so free flowing, she just doesn’t have a sleeping time and she goes to bed at 2 a.m. in the morning just reading books or watching a movie and then she only sleeps 5 hours and that is unhealthy. So I have a very rigorous sleepy time where I’m like calculating when my girlfriend has to get up and I go to bed together with her saying like we’re going to go to sleep now and she’s like no I’m just reading something. I’m like no we’re going to go to sleep otherwise your sleep is going to mess you up. And uh that’s important. Look don’t mess around with sleep. I used to mess with sleep all the time in my very first business when I was literally touring physically around the world and it messed me up big time. It’s so bad for your health, unlike Ben & Jerry’s, which is great for your health.
Max: And last but not least, I want to share with you one thing that nobody knows. I actually have a home city garden in one of my apartments where I just grow my own vegetables. We have chilies, we have cucumbers, we have tomatoes, we have basil. I love seeing things grow. That’s why I love plants so much. I got so many plants in this little mini office. I used to always play citybuilder video games. And of course, one of the reasons why I love business so much is because I can see things grow. I can see my clients accounts grow. I can see my own account grow. I see I see lifestyles grow. It’s it’s just really amazing. So, have a little bit of a city garden. It’s not only good for you because you connect with nature a little bit. It’s amazing food. And it also teaches you to be consistent about something. Just the fact that you cannot have your your plants outside when it’s too cold. you have to bring them in or you have to water them. Like small things like this really makes you think. And to be honest, I actually believe this is a lesson that you can actually extrapolate to the business as well. Your business needs to be constantly watered. You need constantly need to be mindful when you want to make money, whether that’s a full-time business or a side hustle. That is absolutely key. So, with that being said, I know this is a very different video than what you usually see from me. I hope you learned something and I hope it helps you take life not as seriously and worry a little less. I root for you. I love you very much for watching this stuff. I I really appreciate this is a very small channel and every time I see people saying it helped them, they learned something, it warms my heart. So, cheers to you. Much love and hey, subscribe. Talk soon.
Everyone talks about the same boring millionaire habits.
Wake up at 5 AM, meditate, drink green smoothies, journal about your feelings. Blah, blah, blah.
But here’s the thing – I’m a millionaire, and the weird millionaire habits that actually keep me sane and happy would probably make a life coach cry.
These aren’t your typical productivity hacks.
They’re the quirky, dorky things I do behind the scenes that keep me grounded while building multiple seven and eight-figure businesses.
The Problem With “Perfect” Entrepreneur Life
Most entrepreneurs get so caught up in optimizing everything that they forget why they started.
We build businesses to create our dream life, but then we become more miserable than when we were broke.
The balance is hard because, as online entrepreneurs, we can work anywhere, anytime.
There’s no off button.
Instead of enjoying life, we think “I could be working right now and making more money.”
But what’s the point of making millions if you can’t live the life you want?
9 Weird Millionaire Habits That Keep Me Happy
1. Ice Cream for Breakfast
I often eat two pints of Ben & Jerry’s for breakfast.
Peanut butter cup is my favorite, but I’m always trying new flavors.
Food makes me happy. Really happy. And I think about it all the time.
So why not start the day with something that brings me joy?
2. Band T-Shirts Everywhere
I’m not always the professional polo shirt guy.
In my heart, I’m just a fan of great hard rock and heavy metal music.
I go to concerts all over the world because I can afford to travel just to see a band I love.
Sometimes I see them multiple times.
I buy merch from smaller bands because I know how hard it is to be a musician these days.
3. Weekly Postcards to Grandmothers
Every Saturday is postcard writing day.
I use websites like mypostcard.com to send physical postcards to my grandmothers.
It doesn’t take much effort, but it brings them incredible joy.
They save every single one.
When one of my grandmothers passed at 99, I was grateful for all those connections we made through simple postcards.
4. Formula 1 Obsession
I watch the race, then spend hours watching memes on Instagram and YouTube videos the next day.
It gives me something to look forward to on weekends that has nothing to do with business.
Find something that inspires you outside of work and lean into it fully.
The Japanese call this “otaku” – getting obsessed with something in a positive way.
5. Ordering Multiple Desserts
Dessert portions are a scam.
You eat a great meal, then get a tiny cake the size of a cookie.
So I order all the desserts on the menu.
What’s the point of making money if you can’t order whatever you want without worrying about the price?
6. Audiobooks Everywhere
I listen to audiobooks while eating, walking, traveling – anywhere my hands are free.
I’ve read over 200 books in the last few years, about one per week.
My brain gets understimulated when I sit down to read, but audiobooks let me learn constantly while doing other things.
7. Steak and Eggs Breakfast
When I’m not eating ice cream, it’s steak and eggs.
Zero carbs, tons of micronutrients, and incredible focus food.
All my seven and eight-figure entrepreneur friends eat steak at least once a day.
8. Enforced Sleep Time
My girlfriend is free-flowing and doesn’t have a set bedtime.
But I calculate when she needs to get up and make sure we go to bed together so she gets enough sleep.
Don’t mess around with sleep.
I used to, and it destroyed my health.
Unlike Ben & Jerry’s, which is obviously great for your health.
9. Home City Garden
I grow my own vegetables – chilies, cucumbers, tomatoes, basil.
I love seeing things grow, which is probably why I love business so much.
It connects you with nature, gives you amazing food, and teaches consistency.
Your business needs constant watering just like plants do.
The Real Secret Behind These Weird Millionaire Habits
These weird millionaire habits aren’t just random quirks.
They’re about finding balance between building wealth and actually enjoying life.
Most successful people get so focused on optimization that they forget to be human.
These habits remind me that making money should enhance your life, not consume it.
The key is finding what genuinely makes you happy – even if it seems weird to others – and making space for it in your life.
